In compliance with this Court’s order, counsel for the Defendant (Baez) and his office labored to provide all of the information requested. The documentation was approximately three hundred pages. Said defense wanted to fax the said documentation, but due to the fact that it was approximately three hundred pages in length, the Clerk’s office declined. As a result, Mr. William Slabaugh, Esq. of the Baez Law Firm drove from Kissimmee to Orlando in an effort to file the documentation before the deadline. He was thwarted by the Interstate 4 traffic, arriving at the Orange County Courthouse at two minutes after 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday evening the 14th of December of 2010. Mr Slabaugh was doing his best to substantially comply with the deadline, despite its volume. Please see Affidavit of William Slabaugh attached hereto as Exihibit “F”.

Incidentally, Mr. Mason did hand deliver the entire package to both the State Attorney’s Office and the Clerk of Court the next morning December 15th. Most importantly, this good faith performance included all of the documentation that was not due for another 8 days, December 23, 2010.
Cheney Mason, author of this motion, further asserted that the defense did comply to the clarification of the 5 provisions set by Judge Perry in his courtroom.

4. Dr Freeman is still in the early stages of consultation, the defense has notified the State of this, he was listed in an abundance of caution to meet the deadlines set by this court. No further information can be provided at this time.
Jose Baez was sanctioned in January by Chief Judge Belvin Perry and made to pay a fine for this what THEY call “willful violation” of a court order. I see nothing willful about it and I definitely see no violation.
In my opinion, Jose Baez did an excellent job of compliance. Notice the 5 criteria’s are nicely listed just as Judge Perry ordered. Ex-State Attorney Jeff Ashton should have been a happy guy but in those days of heated debates and hearings, nothing was good enough when it came to Defense Attorney Jose Baez and his hated client Casey Anthony.
Nonetheless, I don’t recall reading a detailed expert probable testimony list coming from the State Attorney’s Office. Shouldn’t both sides have to comply to the judge’s order?

Judge leaves a big mess in wake of his resignation
On to Judge Strickland’s weary resignation speech. I can only speak on my own behalf but in my opinion, it was Judge Strickland’s choice, a very poor one at that which provoked his recusal from the Casey Anthony case.
He admitted he read the Casey Anthony blogs. He had his court deputy approach this blogger in his courtroom while the cameras were rolling. What was said between the blogger and he is not audible but be that as it may, he said he complimented the blogger which is all fine and dandy.
To take it a step further…
Weeks later, when Marinade Dave announced he was in the hospital for complications of diabetes, he posted his phone number on his site asking his readers to call him. Judge Strickland, made another bad decision. He called the blogger.
This blogger was in every sense of the word Anti-Casey Anthony. Other than verbally slandering everyone else, the Defense attorneys included, his only rule was to protect the Anthony’s from verbal attacks. No Cindy or George bashing. Other than that the blog was run of the mill meaning no different than the hundreds of other Casey Anthony blogsites.
Besides the “Ode to Judge Strickland” plastered on his homepage and of course the bragging of the judge’s call to him, on March 18, 2010, Marinade Dave made another reference to Judge Strickland. On an older post, not the current one most of his readers were using, under a comment I had made, he posted this.

company. I told them we wouldn’t all fit in Waffle House, but dang! We did.
Cheney Mason even picked up the tab – plus, he left a big tip! Judge Strickland
was telling funny jokes the whole time. I coughed in my coffee, it was so
funny. The only sad part for me was that they all ate dessert, but I couldn’t.
What is a fine defense lawyer such as Cheney Mason to do? Would it be ethical to have this knowledge and not ask for this judge’s recusal? If Casey, while being tried in Judge Strickland’s courtroom were found guilty of 1st degree murder and facing the death penalty, wouldn’t this be an enormous cause for appeal?
Jose Baez and Cheney Mason acted in the best interest of their client Casey Anthony. This judge had to go.
After the recusal, when it was announced that Judge Belvin Perry Jr. would preside over her case, the blogging community screamed with joy knowing Judge Belvin Perry’s death penalty record was a good one.
Of all of the judges in the Orange County Courthouse, he would be the one who would make sure the needle was stuck into Casey’s vein. The only thing standing in the way was the jury.
In a televised interview, after Casey’s acquittal, Judge Strickland tells Nancy Grace that the jurors had it wrong. The jurors were misguided because Juror #3 said she was sickened by the verdict.
In Judge Strickland’s interview with Nancy Graceless, clearly both seem misguided because “not guilty” does not mean innocent. It simply means there wasn’t enough evidence to prove her guilt beyond a reasonable doubt. So be it.
Has anyone forgotten this is America?
And then there’s the matter of probation…

Not long after he made these statements, he corrected his sentencing order for Casey’s check fraud convictions and forced her to serve one year probation even though she was freed after her murder acquittal. Even though Casey Anthony had a signed document from Orange County Corrections congradulating her on her completion of probation while she was in jail.

On the same day, as the Florida Bar is confirming the general nature of the two ongoing complaints against Casey Anthony’s attorney Jose Baez there’s talk that Judge Strickland’s appearance on the Nancy Grace show has led to a Judicial Qualifications Committee complaint against the judge.
Incidentally…
There another bombshell in waiting in the wings. Yesterday, Judge Strickland announced through his counsel WFTV’s legal analyst, Bill Sheaffer that he will step down after 17 years of service. December 31, 2011 will be his last day on the bench.

I think they prob charged him with the most they could to get a conviction. By that I mean because other Docs had been giving him meds during the same time. And the fact of some of the mistakes LE made about during investigation. I have been at hosp with a dear friend since Tues nite so I saw some on tv. I heard one news account that if CM signed a contract and was paid and money spent b4 the jury convict him he could get by with it legally. I heard (media lol) that there is a book and documentary in the works. IMO there is no way he would get not guilty. I also heard he prob wont have to spend much time in jail if convicted. Lying about missing children could become a felony offense
TALLAHASSEE — A special state Senate committee created in response to the death of 2-year-old Caylee Anthony and acquittal of her mother, Casey, wants to make it a felony to lie to law enforcement officials when a child goes missing and is hurt or killed, punishable by five years in prison.
Sen. Joe Negron, R-Stuart, chairman of the Select Committee on Protecting Florida’s Children, proposed revising the law that currently classifies lying to law enforcement officials investigating crimes as a misdemeanor. Negron’s measure would make it a third-degree felony for anyone to “knowingly and willfully” give false information to law enforcement officers conducting an investigation involving a child 16 years of age or younger.

Spidergirl, you never need to defend yourself here. I highly respect Paganism and know some about the persecution of Pagans. It seems it was a hatred of femininity that sparked it. It’s obvious that whoever posted it’s devil-worshipping has some self-reflection and learning to do.

Here is a sad and strange story: Who is it here that lives in NJ? This lady drowned her daughter then committed suicide. But this is crazy how she “committed suicide” She supposedly drank PAINT THINNER, slit her wrists and then filled her lungs with water! Dang I cant hardly stand the smell of paint thinner let alone DRINK IT! Her husband is a partner in a New York based insurance company.

Terribly sad that she would take the daughter too just because she wanted to take her own life. Also sounds like a very painful suicide. What may be happening next or even right now, somewhere?
Hello! Been reading your blogs for months now but am very shy in commenting on a blog with a large reader base. I feel the blog you’ve written on bullying, is so important, that you need to know how I used your blog to teach my children; and, I applaud you for writing the article and addressing this horrible issue. Today, I sat down with my five children whose ages are between 12 years and 5 years and read your blog on bullying to them. We keep a constant, open dialogue about bullying and I wanted them to know why, we as parents, make a big deal about bullying and why they need to tell an adult at school immediately, or call me if they feel bullied. The examples used in your blog hit home with them as I observed their jaws drop while responding with sadness for the child and young adults mentioned.
Also, because I have four boys, i wanted to drive home the point that they should never choose to tease, taunt or put down a peer, even if the “group” is behaving this way. I’m proud of them so far because I know they do not tease, taunt or hurt other peers but thought your blog could be another tool in reminding them about just HOW HARMFUL bullying is and how a person can respond – even by harming themselves. They need to know this even if it is sad topic.
I also told the four that attend a public charter school, that if school ever became a place of fear, they have the option of being home-schooled by me. I am a teacher although I left left the place I taught at, last June, for many reasons…
I also want to add that with the advent of online schools for kids of all ages, parents now have more choices in educating their children. My eldest son has Dyslexia and is attending an online school at home. We removed him from public school in the third grade because he was still reading at a first grade level, while having to endure daily teasing openly in class about his reading problems. Don’t ask me what his teacher was thinking in allowing this, because obviously she wasn’t.
And because I was working, I was fortunate enough to have my retired mother, facilitate the learning process along with myself. He is now in the fifth grade and is reading at grade level although it takes him longer, naturally, to comprehend text. But now, has the love of learning that I have, and is learning French in the fifth grade! I want to tell other parents who may be frustrated with public school, that it has been my experience, that a good online school can provide a free and superior education to that of a public school. My husband and I are considering this option for my other four children while taking into consideration the financial ramifications of living on one income in this current economy. So SB thank you for writing a POWERFUL article that brings more awareness to this situation not only to adults, but to children as well:) I hope you don’t mind me putting in a plug for online schools on your blog, I figured you would find it useful information. and it is even greater that you were able to utilize JB’s post to educate your children on the horrific thing called bullying… what an awesome message to teach yours, just awesome. your children are very lucky to have a mom like you, one that would take the time to teach them the harsh reality of what bullying can do to a person’s life and mind, especially to those that are weaker by nature and can’t deal as easily. your a rocking mom for that!!

Misty & Comment, that really was a terrible thing about that mother/dtr. After reading further, I think it actually happened in GA, but they were from NY. I guess they had family in NJ? According to the article she was 45 and husb 59 and had been married abt 5 yrs. Friends said she went through great lengths to have a child. She underwent fertility treatments for more than a year before Allison was conceived. Hard to understand what someone would be going thru to do something like this after going to such lengths to have a child. Hopefully it was investigated indepth. There are 70 something comments and some raise a point that he husb’s ex wife also committed suicide last Sept! I don’t know if that is true or not so I hate even repeating but brought up a flag to me. I see 48 HRS has stuff like this on there a bunch. Sad….

Your boys are very lucky to have you for a Mom. Bullying, I call it tarmenting because that is exactly how it feels.
For the teacher to see this happening to your son and ignoring it is beyond ignorance. She had a chance to change a child’s life and blew it in the school system.
I took my son out, like I said in my comment because if they couldn’t do anything, then I could. He got a job doing most everything and was very responsible in spite of school.
He had such a yearning to learn, went and got his GED and from then on he had always known what he wanted to be, a teacher.
I was so proud of him. He was a wonderful teacher and if there was any bullying, he stopped it quick.
All of the kids loved him and I know that before he died he was a great influence on all of the kids, even theones doing the bullying thought the world of him.
I’m thankful for the short time that he got to teach, he not only had them wanting to learn the 3 R’s but also that bullying doesn’t pay off and is not accepted.
They say teachers can’t do this, I say oh yes they can! : )

If the info about the prior wife committing suicide is accurate, then it is definitely a MAJOR red-flag. If he has two wives who committed suicide then they should definitely be looking into what motive he may have had to get rid of his wives.
If that info is NOT accurate then the woman may have killed her child and herself as a result of post-partem depression/psychosis. I can’t think of any other logical reason for it.

Sam…this link is for you re CM trial. The way it reads that must be unamious for guilty or not. So I am assuming otherwise would be a mistrial? Also because of new laws, if he is convicted, he may not spend any time in prison due to overcrowding, would be poss at county jail. He still gonna have to deal with Medical Boards, so he is going to lose his licenses. I figure they didnt charge more than they did because of some of the sloppy work by LE or could it be that he was still rec demeroil from Dr Klein? I think a bunch should loose their lic in this case. IMHO

So in catching up, I see that ole Dr G is gonna have JA and crew on her “tv show” on Jan 1. It’s so nice to be home!! I’ve been on vacation for the past 10 days…I guess you’ve noticed. I took the step to make it a real vacation..meaning no computers so now I’m going to have to get a big cup of coffee and do some reading.
I just found out that Conrad Murray’s trial is in deliberation now. Hmm.. Honestly, I haven’t paid much attention to the trial..only in bits and pieces, In any case, I do feel Dr. Murray is culpable in Michael Jackson’s death, even though I find the victim somewhat at fault too. Sadly, I feel Michael Jackson would have died anyway. IMO, There’s no way he could have continued using hardcore drugs as he did and survived. He’s lucky he lived as long as he did so maybe in a way CM extended his life. We’ll never know.
Considering CM is only facing 4 years, I believe he’s guilty and should spend at least a year in jail to set an example that no medical doctor choose money over ethics because I do think money played a big part in what he did. Using propofol in a home setting is totally unacceptable and I think he knows it. Ok..so that’s what me thinks about that..
Saying prayers everyone is safe in OKlahoma. Saw where they had a 5.2 earthquake a lil bit ago, and at least 3 total Saturday! WOW, sure have been having a bunch of earthquakes around the globe it seems. Anyways, praying for safety to those affected.

OH I hope you had a great relaxing time JB!!! Yep I think CM should serve time too if found guilty. I too feel he is guilty of some things he should have known better than do. My husband had an emerg quad heart bypass in 2005, and then had prob with his lungs so they had to put him back on vent, when they were fixing to give him the meds to put to sleep to put back on vent, they called it milk of amnesia. And thats the same thing that CM gave MJ, tho I do feel CM is responsible I feel MJ prob did self medicate. Shoot he was still getting 200 mg of demeral from Dr Klein and 1 m of that drug lorazapam (sp?) while CM was giving his set of meds. CRAZY! Sadly I am so sure this cont to happen. Look at the news ever so often one of these wealthy people die from this practice! SHIVERS

The way I see it is… now that we’re off of the Casey Anthony case, there’s other discussions going on that I’m not even familiar with..such as the baby Lisa case and the Dr. Murray trial.
When we were discussing KC EVERYONE was on board and sharing ideas and theories so I think at that point we all acknowledged one another. Does that make sense?

Welcome Sonja,I’m glad you found some value in that article. Bullying is one of my pet peeves. I abhor a bully! Like you, I have sons which btw, one is Dyslexic too so I can definitely relate.
I want to ask you…have you ever checked into an eye doctor for your son’s dyslexia?
Amazingly, when my son was in 6th grade he was reading on a 3rd grade level. I had no idea because although he wasn’t an “A” student, he was passing.
The reason his problem went unnoticed for so long was because he had a great memory which is why he was able to pass tests in subjects like history and science. He wasn’t reading the material, he was just very astute in class. As he told me later, he paid attention and faked it. He found ways of getting out of reading out loud.
Kids..huh?
It wasn’t until I was trying to get him into a private school did I find out just how badly this child was reading. He was tested and that’s when the truth came out. The dean of the school recommended that I have him see a optometrist. Believe it or not, it worked. So don’t lose hope, there are things that you can do for Dyslexia and don’t forget “Lighthouse for the Blind” They recognize dyslexia and will help your son if he wants to go to college.
So if you can, Check into it but I want to warn you. Not all optometrist do this and some people think it’s BS but I want to tell you, it worked for us.
Indygal, I understand how you feel, there is a lot of interaction between some, and I often leave when my input is of no interest, then once in awhile someone gives a remark to include my comment. I have decided that if I have anything to say, I’ll just do it because it just gets it out of my system and not expect any intimacy. In my case I believe it is me, because I don’t go any farther than on the blog, with emails or anything like that to invite close relationships because I don’t just want to agree or disagree to please. He asked the MOST ridiculous questions, many having nothing to do with ZG’s claim of suffering financially because of KC.
IMO, M&M were working for JA & LDB. He was trying to get incriminating evidence from the Ants. The only thing KC did was put ZG on the map. lol
ZG was a nobody before KC. And I do NOT believe the general population of Orlando EVER believed ZG took Caylee. Especially THAT ZG.

Please reconsider because I only found this wonderful place during the trial and its home now. So many wonderful friendships I have made. I converse with Omar and Blam still away from her, and they still read thru as others. And now with the Holidays upon us some may get busy. I still like to come and talk to everyone.
I feel like everyone one is extended family. That this case brought us to a certain place for a reason.
I just had a thought… We ALL have reasons to be Thankful for, sometimes in our darkest moments we think we don’t, but if we get still a second and think about it there is ALWAYS something, and if you think of 1 you can usually think of many, the first being GOD has given you life. I am THANKFUL FOR EACH ONE OF YOU WHO IS READING THIS. AND FOR JB FOR ALLOWING ME TO POST HERE!!!
Another thought in reference to Casey… This will be the first Thanksgiving and Christmas and New Year and the many other holidays to follow that she hasn’t been in jail. Sadly she doesn’t have her baby girl. She will always be in her heart. I know she is Thankful for those she has around her who have her best interest in mind. I feel sure she is a stronger young lady than she ever has been. GOD has blessed her with caring people and I wish her the very best life has to offer, as I do each and every person on EARTH. Sadly it will be a very long time that every move Casey makes will be critiqued, as is most when someone doesn’t like them. Some folks need to look in the mirror IMO.
And I hope she doesn’t go the way sadly as Lindsey Lohan has done. She was given more slack than many and it seems (media coverage my only source of knowing) but it seems she didn’t feel what was ordered applied to her. Now she will spend her Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year in jail.

I don’t know much about the ZG case and very little about M&M, but I appreciate you giving that information and I want to tell you so. Some times I just don’t know what to say.
I do know what I’ve heard there are a lot of lies coming from them and I guess we’re going to see that trial soon. I really dread it because it isn’t about ZG, it’s all about trying to get Casey. Those lawyers don’t give a damn about that woman. Who are they kidding?
If that was true ALL, of the ZG’s would be sueing because their name has put them in danger. Why would anyone think she’s the only ZG “effected” by this?
I think it this one sues, ALL of them chime in. It would be like the movie “Bees”

JB, remember one that was in the mob had a brace around his neck? Probably most collecting unemployment AND I’m sure it would be easier for them to get SOME kind of work, where with Casey, it’s not easy for her or the one that hires her. I’m sure a lot would hire her, but feel the threat as much as Casey. It’s just wrong. PLUS, they’re all making total fools of themselves.
They aren’t doing anything to help anyone and if Casey got some volenteer work, it would help her in the long run and how could they get all of the money that she doesn’t have, nor will be able to get for a while?

Just a thought, I keep reading about the judicial system being broken, The comments on this is in ref to the Casey Anthony trial. Its like they are saying everything revolves around THIS TRIAL. I believe because of the media coverage and twisting of it some things may change. Butto say that the judicial system is broken in this country because you dont agree with the verdict, thats like saying all brown haired boys are short! IMO, Or the idoits who want to rewrite the Constitution because of this verdict gosh I just have to laugh so hard on that one.

I’d be hung as a black witch a few hundred years ago but things haven’t changed much. People still try to hang me with my words sometimes. I often don’t get response either, especially when I share the ponderings of the more abstract type. But it helps me to set my thoughts to words so I do it anyway. JB thanks for the info about vision and Dyslexia! He has 20/20 vision but get this: at 18 mos old he had surgery on his eye for Stribismus which simply means one of his eyes turned slightly inward! His eye is in line and on track because of the surgery but because dyslexia is about perception you’ve really got me thinking! Did your son have an issue like that if I may ask?
Okay, I’m probably about to ask the dumbest questions in the world about the Casey case but I’ve been wanting to know the answer to these since the verdict came in! So, since Ms. Casey was not found guilty does this mean LE is required to keep the case open? Could they bring charges against someone else if they found more evidence? Or, once a verdict is in, does that mean they close the case and discontinue investigating? I realize that not guilty doesn’t mean the person is innocent but it would seem to me that LE should continue looking into this case and now, from a different perspective? But what do I know:) So please tell me someone, what happens now? If anything?

Sonja, my son has ADD and Tourrette’s. I was advised by a very wise woman to take him to an eye specialist too. I never did but now I think I will! His vision is good. The only thing different about his eyes is that he can do that thing where he ‘shakes’ them really fast. You got me thinking too, JB!
Dr. Murray sure is glaring at the jurors. I suppose I would too if I was found guilty. Although given the circumstances, I would have pled guilty to avoid a trial. I think it took a tremendous amount of arrogance for him to deny his responsibility in Michael’s death.
Sonja, I have been wondering the same thing since the trial ended. Is the case closed based on the fact that they “feel” Casey is guilty, regardless. IMO that would be irresponsible of LE to let the case go. It is not over, in my book. The murder remains unsolved, partially due to the one-track-mind-set of the entire investigation. They should try and save SOME face by continuing the investigation until all options are thoroughly exhausted.
The case probably remains open, but is now sitting in the storage shed with all the other cold cases that went unsolved. I could be wrong about that, if LE truly still believes that this was a case of murder, as they tried so very hard to convince the jury it was. Since KC was acquitted, and cannot be retried, if LE does believe she is guilty, they will probably put the investigation on the cold case shelf, and unless some new evidence that indicates someone other than KC murdered Caylee, it will remain on that shelf forever.
When you think about it. If Jose’s opening statement was true, and Caylee did tragically drown, then there is no need for further investigation.
Also, if on the off chance LE did find someone else to indict for the murder of Caylee, it would make them look very bad for trying so hard to win the case against KC for the DP. It would also be a very hard case to prove, because of the case against KC. There was so much reasonable doubt involved in KC’s trial, the defense lawyers for any new suspect who have a mountain of reasonable doubt built right in.

I was advised to consult this eye doctor by the school’s psychologist because they have used this doctor for other children with dyslexia with great results.
This was new to me too but as I soon found out, not all optometrist offer this therapy. This doctor addresses dexterity. She offers therapy to professional atheletes such as baseball pitchers who need to have acute eyesight.
I’ll get back with you on all of the particulars and I’ll give you her name. She’s in the New Orleans area. I’ll contact her for you to see if she knows of other doctors in your area.

The whole time I was trying to picture Michael getting out of bed in those two minutes injecting himself with propoful and getting back in bed. Especially when Dr. Murray said he gave him a drip, Michael went to sleep and then Dr. Murray went to the bathroom to go himself,empty Michael’s bag and talk to a girlfriend.
I have been on a drug impendant for many years. You have to know exactly what they are. I can’t help if it’s for pain or other causes.
The doctor has to know and has to STAY with you.

If a killer was found, that would make jb and kc liars. I think most folks take their story to the grave with them. Jb said, we may never know how caylee died. That one got me, that one made me think that kc is not sure that she drowned.

Evening EVERYONE! Sam, darn I missed watching the verdict being read. Yep figured he would be found guilty. I think there are others that should be charged for continuing to give him meds (ie Dr Klein). Sadly MJ was an addict and it was the ultimate reason for getting Dr Conrad in the first place. Correct verdict IMO.
