I created this post to share 70′s stories and what not. Yes, Barbies too. I had a Barbie but she died when my brother gave her a bad case of the blue-ink measles. She was very sick with a temperature of 104.8. My brother decided he’d give her a cool bath and cut her hair. The cool bath did break her temp but when she looked in the mirror and saw what he did to her hair, she fell into a coma. She vegetated on life support for a few years in the bottom of my toy box until GI Joe found her and pulled the plug. This is my story.

Noni, thanks for the link. Yes, very worth the read. It will always bother me that Perry treated Baez the way he did but just claimed ignorance to what the prosecution did that was so much worse. Ashton and Burdicks actions went beyond ethics and crossed the line into illegal but yet not a mention by Perry, no report to the bar. Actually, I think the defense team should be obligated to report them to the bar. There is no doubt they knew what they did and refused to correct it with the jury when they were called out on it.
JB, the justice for caylee site was registered long before the trademark. The domain name was created 9/5/08, updated 10/17/10. If Cindy isn’t behind it, that may be why there was never a price tag put on the other items shown.
The dates and style of registration for these names, just doesn’t make sense. Why would they register cayleesfund.org by proxy? Lippman announced Cindy and George own this and would be taking income for running it, so it is no secret who owns it. The name, jusice for caylee is registered by someone in Florida in 2008 and then Lippman trademarks it in May of 2011.
They aren’t the first ones to use the name Caylee Fund either. A radio station sponsored a fund raiser for the St. Louis Crisis Nursery. The first program or time I see the Caylee fund mentioned is July 8 at 9:33 am. http://y98.radio.com/2011/07/08/the-st-louis-crisis-nursery-ceo-dianne-mueller/ They exceeded their goal of $10,000 by far and may still be collecting in her name. Of course, Missouri comes up in another story connected to the Anthony. Rob Hensley, connected in some way to the video diary, is from there. Now, what I want to know is, did the Anthony’s hear about this fund drive and choose the name for their new charity based on the huge success? July 16, the first mention of Caylee’s Fund by Mark Lippman I find, one day after this check was presented. By July 18 Hal was blogging about it and on the 19th Lippman registered the foundation with Florida.
Now, I didn’t see ads on their page but according to this website analysis http://webhost-a.com/www/cayleesfund.org it was probably generating over $700/mo through adsense, site worth over $23,000. Hmmm. It says the domain is 3 years old, just like it says about the other foundation website. Hmmm again. It also shows the CMAfoundation.net is worth even more, also using adsense. NTS, tell me how they do this without us seeing ads? Are they getting paid for people going to their site, leaving a page that has ads?
Wayback machine doesn’t have anything for their site archived. Interesting. So, what do you all think? Something fishy going on here or just my imagination and wrong information? I always give everyone the benefit of the doubt and 2nd guess myself so I looked for some other web analysis sites. Alexa http://www.alexa.com/search?q=cayleesfund.org&r=home_home&p=bigtop seems to think that cayleesfund.org also owns issues.cc or issues and reviews and caseyanthonyisinnocent, the site we’ve seen referred to several times here. Look at these keywords used at caseyanthonyisinnocent. casey anthony not guilty, chloroform recipe, george anthony, not guilty, end of the world Issues.cc has only been coming up recently for me, in searches. That’s because it is a fairly new site, as is the innocent site. How many of them is Cindy writing? I noticed that issues is also registered by proxy through godaddy and is hosted in Dallas, created in Feb. 2011. It takes a while for the search engines to pick them up consistantly. I recall her taking a trip to Texas right after the verdict, family living there. Remember the cousin that said she knows the whole story and George was involved? Caseyanthonyisinnocent is the newest site. It was created the day the jury came back, is also registered by proxy through godaddy. How many does that make now? It is also hosted in Dallas, Texas, different company name.
While I was searching I found another caylee’s fund here http://cayleesfund.bbnow.org/index.php This is a free subdomain of bbnow, a site registered June 26, 2008, owner in Indiana. It offers free hosting and paypal hookups for non profits. They take a percentage, and small transaction fee, just like ebay does. The page doesn’t tell anything about the charity though, or who Caylee is. Maybe this is their first attempt at a new foundation? I wish I had power of subpoena. There is no way to know who it belongs to or when it was opened.

I don’t know if this is important or not but wasn’t it revealed in Casey’s jail house letters that Cindy had trademarked the name “Caylee”. I’m not sure of the date but I believe she did this some time in 2009?? So if she did, wouldn’t that include any reference to the name “Caylee”?

Good morning, JB. I remember something like that but it didn’t happen until trial time. Maybe it took that long, because it has to be proven it isn’t already registered. According to one intellectual property attorney, http://www.lilenfeldpc.com/pdf/TrademarksAmidTragedy_AJC.PDF they may not have rights even though they have this trademark, if they haven’t used it in business. That’s why I’m surprised they didn’t add the middle name because Cindy always calls her Caylee Marie, not Caylee Anthony. As for Justice for Caylee, this attorney says there is a matter of free speech they would have to contend with. 1st amendment protectors would say that it is a political phrase that people have the right to wear on their t-shirt. I think there is another argument in favor of the website owner too. They used that phrase long before the Anthonys did so a judge might just give them rights to them instead, if it ever got that far. It looks to me like the owner abandoned the plans to sell items but it seems like they would have taken the pics down and they didn’t. They were successful with stopping the use of the phrase at Cafepress. I searched there and see no items with that phrase but there are lots of things with Caylee’s first name and things connected to Casey. They would have no rights to Caylee or to Caylee Marie Anthony, under the trademark laws. I should add too, that if Casey wanted to take their rights away I think any judge would have to take the rights away from them and Lippman. She is the next of kin.
I missed answering one of your questions. Calvert is the mans name. He’s not in Canada. I should also add, concerning the value of websites, that different assessment sites give different data. One says the innocent site makes $6/day for ads and another says $25/day. I just realized that is a wordpress site, by the way. Also, I don’t have any problem with someone making money as long as it is done legitimately and with integrity. News outlets can’t be in business if they don’t make money and they are in the business of publishing news. There is always going to be money to be made connected to death and tragedy. Miller and others like him have founded new businesses based on the death of a loved one. I have no problem with that because they will be more likely to have a real passion for the service they offer. But, if they run a charity they’d better be transparent and ethical. He and TES aren’t. I’ll bet Helen quit after the Caylee efforts and wouldn’t be at all surprised if a certain author is no longer his mouthpiece and greatest supporter. She’s been silent since his dirty deeds were revealed.
I’m a fan of the caseyanthonyisinnocent site. There are some great comments and articles on there. I checked to see what ads were there because I don’t remember seeing any. The only ad I could find was for Keith Ablow’s book on Amazon, which I’ve heard is not very kind to Cindy.
He must be getting a lot of traffic to be making even $6 a day – which makes me think the site is legitimate.
I was confused by the pic of Casey giving oral sex (which is cropped on the site). I asked the owner about why he/she would use it as their avatar and they removed it but didn’t answer why they used it in the first place. I’m not sure if that photo has been doctored in the first place. I have not been able to find an original that looks like it could have been modified.
You know Sam, that avatar that you mentioned was what exactly made me question the validity of that site.

Sam, the picture you refer to was determined by numerous graphics experts NOT to be that of Casey Anthony. Each of the individual discrepancies in that photo were proven. I just went to http://caseyanthonyisinnocent.com/ and she still has the cropped version on the header; fifth picture on the right. So I can’t see where it has been pulled as of yet. Google has removed it from their images file where it had been for a couple years. I can’t find it there now. Let’s also be clear, that picture is not an avatar but a part of the header of her blog. Bad form indeed. Can’t see why a legitimate blog in favor of Casey would have that picture anywhere.
I have seen the original photo in question and it is not casey anthony.The woman in tho photo is a pro porn star and the pic is 1 of 10 in a photo shoot. i brought this up at caseyanthonyisinocent a while back but i dont think anybody wanted to hear it.
The web analyzers say my site has value even though I make no money from it at all. They are basing that on traffic stats too, not just if they see adsense or other money makers. I don’t see ads and there is nothing in the page source I could find to raise a red flag. But, I know nothing about making money through websites either. I did some more googling to see when this id, SJ, started showing up. The twitter page was started at the same time, first post July 7. This sounds like a guy to me.
So I checked on the domain name, site IP 64.202.189.170 and guess what? It was also registered July 5, 2011 through domains by proxy at godaddy, just like the innocent.com except the ip is 64.31.37.202 through LImestone Networks in Texas and the proxy wasn’t used. They must have set up the host to redirect traffic to the innocent site. It’s also the same registrar and date as Anthony Marinozzi’s foundation .com domain except he didn’t use the proxy service either. It’s also the same proxy service used by the As for Cayleesfund. So, they’re all using godaddy, which may be nothing because it is a huge registrar.
It looks like the caseyanthonyfans facebook page was set up the same date as the twitter, July 7, two days after the domains. This two days is reminding me of the statement made by LE when interviewing Tinelli, that the As are always 2 days behind the body, behind Caylee. Strange statement, if you ask me. They were 7 days behind the first person to register the name cayleesfund. Thanks for letting me know! I’ve been curious about that for some time now. I know they still have the cropped version in the header. I was referring to the avatar. SJ would post using an avatar of that exact image. When I asked about it, he/she removed it immediately and seemed to do it because I was offended by it. I thought that was kind although I do have to wonder about using it in the header. Maybe they don’t realize what the image is (like I didn’t know until one of my favorite missionites warned me)?

Sam thank you for your reply. I am not on one side or the other of this incredible debacle. However when I see a blatant error on the part of someone who would portray someone, anyone in the same circumstance, I felt compelled to evaluate it. I have many years experience of computer graphics and software that analyzes facial characteristics ie, the CSI effect so to speak. I do have a copy of that original photo that was posted many months ago. Though I don’t think that it is important at this point to prove what I know about that photo, I would be available to send the copy by email to JB for verification of my findings. I am posting admittedly with a proxy IP and a false email address. Should JB feel that it is important enough, I would be willing to answer her with my real credentials. I believe that “lex at 12:26 PM verified what I posted and that should be sufficient. Frankly I don’t know how important it is at this juncture other than to say that I am suspect of that site for not removing what most I believe know is false.
I’ve seen that pic floating around and agree, Reality, Lex, it is not Casey and is one more attempt to defame her. Or it may be some guy’s fantasy life on display. I’m sure more than one guy would love to see ‘more’ of her. I see that SJ is now using the pic of Casey in green, the one that Jason has used the most.
I just saw the other domains that SJ has registered by proxy. All are rerouted to caseyanthonyisinnocent.

Changing the subject to the Tinelli interviews, I found another story of Orlando police misconduct while searching for Roxy. There is a night club with that name and apparently they don’t like Asians as customers. Police made them leave, busted the guys face, deleted the evidence photos of police brutality but they were recovered, thank goodness. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TykENC_pYcw This night club has a long history of their own wrong doing too.
But, I believe the spelling of her name is really Roxie, middle initial R, lives in Oviedo. That’s all I could come up with other than the name of the two other household members, age, ethnicity, political party preference and her Sun sign. As for the lifetime club, I come up empty no matter how or where I search. I even went to Urban dictionary. I did see something that may be a hit though. the listings for lifetime are about the tv channel, with the theme being perfect women who are abused by men. Could they have meant that she had been in an abusive relationship (father) and decided to leave that lifetime club of women? She would potentially need witness protection if her abuser knew what she planned to do. Something to think about. If this is what they meant, with all the other questions, and with Nick Savage involved, certain discovery LE reports being categorized as “sex crime” we can conclude that LE did take her serious enough to ask questions. We just haven’t seen any sign that they asked George or followed through enough to seriously look in a different direction than Casey is guilty of murder. I think the citizens of Florida have a right to demand some answers from LE and the state attorney’s office. There needs to be an internal investigation as to how this case was handled.

Thanks, Reality! I really am glad you explained that photo is not of her. I agree it is suspicious to use that photo if a person knows that it is not her. It would be more than suspicious. I think it would be cruel and probably illegal?
Very interesting Zuben! If the lifetime club was related to the abuse, the questions about Casey going into hiding would make more sense. A lot more. I never had thought of that angle. Thanks for pointing me in the direction of the LT interview. I found it fascinating.

On page 15, Right after that SA asks LT: Did he ever talk to you about Casey enjoying a lifetime club and getting in too deep and having to um, to get out of the lifetime club. Ah, and get herself into protective custody or..
Do you think these two are connected?
Could be, JB. Someone local to that area familiar with the street language might know. Women with children who are dependent on the state have to supplement somehow and that somehow is usually a man. That makes them more vulnerable to abusive men. It becomes their lifestyle for their lifetime. Of course, Casey wasn’t on state aid but I found the report of the woman who said she saw Casey with Caylee and a Hispanic woman there to apply for the housing program, then again at the GoodWill store, in a white car, NY plates, quite compelling. Just because they couldn’t find her in the system doesn’t mean she wasn’t there. This woman was very sure it was her. I couldn’t find a time when she drove there but there were a couple of times her phone was off line for long enough. I originally thought she may have checked out the program but then backed down if she found out she would have to tell them who the father is so they could go after him for child support. She went on a lot with Amy about getting a place so I think she was working on something, or trying to.

I rewatched Baez’s opening statement yesterday and I have to say, his version of what happened to Caylee answers a lot of questions. Now that you’ve mentioned this, it also answers the question as to why Casey didn’t apply for any state aid for Caylee after finding out JG wasn’t the father.
She could have had Section 8 housing, health insurance for her daughter, help with school expenses for herself, food stamps, etc. etc.
But because she could never answer the question of Caylee’s paternity. Casey’s only choice of supplements were from the Anthonys or as you said, a man. I imagine she was embarrassed too.
I know theres lots of women on welfare that can’t or refuse to answer that question either but in Casey’s case, I’m sure she would do anything in her power to keep from hurting her mother.
What if it was George and this information got back to Cindy. I think Casey had a lot of emotional turmoil on her plate having to hide family secrets. Maybe there was a real possibility that it was George and he knew it.
IMO, when George found Caylee dead in the pool, he immediately thought about his distraught daughter, in her emotional state blurting out something that he’d be ashamed of. Not only that, if Casey would revealed the entire story of being molested since she was 8 years old, could LE arrest him. I don’t know if there’s a statute of limitation involved in this matter. Could it be 7 years? If she’s 22, that would mean he was molesting her when she was 15 yrs old.
IDK, how that works but maybe George knew.

I do feel this entire case is centered around the possibility of George/incest and him possibly being the father. The stalling, the secrets etc, totally makes sense. The laws may be behind George’s unforgiving attitude toward Casey. He could still possibly be held accountable. The Florida civil statute of limitation is 4 years after the victim leaves them or from the time of discovery, if an adult. The deadline is upon him this year. Otherwise it is 7 years after the incident, if it was not a repressed memory and the victim doesn’t still live with the offender. The criminal statute of limitations for regular molestation is 4 years but the legislature has talked about extending that to 10 years. There is no statute of limitations for an aggravated incident, such as threat with a weapon, more than one person or serious injury. I highly doubt the state will go after him. That being said, for the state to pursue it now they would have to be admitting they missed the mark with charging her with murder and they aren’t going to do that. I also think that Casey has the emotional support she’d need to pursue charges or a civil suit and she hasn’t done that. If she doesn’t by this June, the natural question will be why not? Of course, a civil suit would be pointless because she can’t collect water from a stone and the emotional repercussions could be more than she’d want after all she’s been through. And she could lose the rest of her family, if they are still there to lose.
The goofs in my state just trumped past blunders. Because of a case pursued where DHS failed to protect a child they have now taken decisions to pursue or not, out of the local agency’s hands and given it to a central bureaucracy. There is a state wide phone number and someone there decides if the case has merit. Unbelievable.

Up until now I have not really been too interested in what Cindy did at work, but now I am really curious to know what her actual job duties were there.
Could Casey have been “working” as an “escort” for home health patients, helping them with doctors visits an such. I would think that it would be a little obvious if the checks were made out directly to her. Could she have had an ID with another name so the checks could be made out to the other name and Casey could cash them using a false ID? Maybe the checks could have been made out to a friend of Casey’s who would cash them and give Casey the money?

Nonetheless, it doesn’t surprise me that DK would side with Ashton’s moronic decision to fight his son’s 1st DUI offense. IMO, It’s a good lesson to learn for any young man who drove a vehicle when he was visably drunk. Check out this case, which happened right in my backyard, at the local church. A lot of corruption involved in this case and to this day rumors say that Andros the guy that called for the hit of his lover paid another one to do his dirty work. The victim may have known too much about finances, employees records, etc, etc that he used her then killed her to keep from testifying. In my rural area it takes upwards of 2 years on a waiting list to get a Section 8 Voucher. As long as Casey lived with her parents their income/means would be included if she applied for foodstamps so until she moved out she would be ineligeable. The exception would be if Cindy & George signed statements that she bought her own food, paid rent at their home and cooked her and Caylee’s food separately. She could have applied for medicaid for Caylee but didn’t Cindy have her on her medical thru her work? She may have gone down there to apply but her hands were tied until she actually moved out of her parents home.

Also, remember Casey saying something about working on something for her boss @ Universal but not being able to write as well (not able to write in Spanish as well as she speaks?) Some one mentioned once that since the card at sawgrass says C. Zaneida gonzalez, Casey may have started to write her own name, makes sense.
Did Casey maybe plan on changing her identity and getting outta dodge? Why else would she want to find an apartment in another name? Did she feel later that it would be better to move far? A Marine Corps base would be pretty safe, at least until she could get actual protective custody, if he could host her on base. I kept thinking the woman’s name that said she saw her was Good something but didn’t share that because I thought I was confusing it with Goodwill. But, her name is Goode. The document doens’t have hand written page numbers on it but it is the doc that includes the table showing purchases by TL, the As, purchases, and whether or not they had video surveilance, along with the proof that Casey did graduate, even though Cindy says she didn’t. Still can’t figure that one out. Anyway, Goode lives in Mr. Dora. She worked as a volunteer for the Lake County DHS Kid Care Program and said that Casey signed Caylee up for services in April or May, in Tavares. During that time they advertized section 8 housing. She took a call from a woman with Hispanic accent who said she wanted to inquire about that and also sign her grandaughter up for the Kid’s program, which is insurance. She thought she said her name was Rodriguez, but not sure. A week later Casey and Caylee came in, she signed them into the computer. She’s sure it was them. She said her name was Casey Anthony. Then about the end of June She saw her at Goodwill in Eustis and then at Save a lot. She couldn’t remember at the time where she had seen them before but remembered after the story hit the news. She walked out with Caylee (wearing a white dress with bow on front) and got into a white vehicle, blue and white tag like NY, larger Hispanic woman driving. The Good Will manager didn’t recognize them and DHS had nothing in their computer matching Casey or Caylee. Could it be that she applied but then later called to have their names withdrawn? Maybe there would still be a trail left behind though, not sure how their system would work.
Kmiller, the guy at Sawgrass filled out the card, not ZG. I believe he identified her too. I have no idea where the C came from but my guess is he was going to write Gonzalez, Zenaida but then changed his mind and wrote Zenaida Gonzalez, leaving the C. Other than Cindy and Lee saying that his classmate, LE, took something that looked like a drivers license from Casey’s purse, we have no hint that Casey had any other id, other than the Universal tag that didn’t have her name on it. If she had fake ID, surely LE would have been all over it. If she did have fake ID she’d surely use that to write Amy’s checks, not use her own.

Zuben – As I understand it, since this is a trial in civil court, Casey is not required to attend. All this baloney about her getting “special treatment” from the court system is just that ………… baloney. I am a Florida resident (until I can figure out a way to escape this hell-hole) and if I don’t have to appear at a civil trial, neither should she. It seems as all the haters feel that Casey SHOULD have “special treatment” in that rules that apply to me should be suspended in Casey’s case.

If she shouldn’t have to appear she shouldn’t be made to accept a subpoena, especially when their motive is so obvious. But maybe Munyon is going to rule in favor of Casey in the summary judgment. It shouldn’t go to trial and I’ll bet 99% of attorneys would agree.

Zueben – The way I read it, Judge Munyon is in effect telling Morgan that if they (M&M) think that Casey being in court is SO important to their case then they should make an effort themselves to get the subpoena served. Not rely on the court to help them. Face it, Morgan knows damn well what Casey will (or rather, won’t) be saying in court. She will plead the 5th, just like in the depo.
Now, every yahoo hater will be trying to track Casey down and find where she is. Actually, by doing that, they (the haters who have no connection to the case except their obsession for revenge) will just be adding to the notion that Casey’s life is in danger. They will form a vigilante posse to find out her location.
Remember the Ohio photos of Casey? If there was any doubt that these rabid loonies will do anything to locate her, then that sealed it. Within 48 hours, the “sleuths” on another web blog had tracked Casey down the the exact street where some of the photos were taken. They used Google maps and Google street-view and I was able to tell that they had, indeed, found the correct street. Actually, their sleuthing skills, while impressive, helped Casey as it was shortly afterwards that it was determined that Casey should be able to serve her probation from an undisclosed location. I think the ease with which those bloggers found that location in Ohio proved to the probation department that her (Casey’s) safety would be in danger f she had to serve probabtion in a public setting. I wonder if KC ever sent a thank you note to those “sleuthers?”
Addie @ 7:50 – My wiife’s parents moved to Florida shortly after our daughter was born. We just had to move bother her parents into an assisted living facility about 4 weeks ago which is near our house. Our daughter is attending college here locally. So, family is the only thing keeping me here. The Florida of today is very, very different from the Florida I moved to 38 years ago. There are a few things that have changed for the better, but they are far outweighed by all that has become worse. Maybe it is just society in general and the grass is not greener in the other pasture, but sometime in the future I hope to find out.
Like you, the KC trial in no way affects the way I feel about Florida. The only mention I ever hear about her is strictly in the media. Most of the people I know aren’t even aware of any of the civil trials coming up and have zero interest in knowing where KC is. There are A LOT of much bigger problems in this state, as I am sure you are well aware. All JMO, though.
Yellow Dog, I think the people in your circle wouldn’t stalk her but we saw the reaction of a different sort of people out in front of that church so I think there are some there that would like to make her life hell, or worse. It is even more likely if the general population is unhappy and frustrated. When there seems to be nothing one can do to change things for the better, that frustrated and volatile energy can be channeled somewhere else, looking for an outlet. Casey would be a potential channel to project that anger onto. The woman that was saying she didn’t want Casey in her neighborhood because she has children is probably more worried about the bullies at school, if she were honest with herself. But instead of dealing with her fear honestly, she projects it on to Casey because she can more easily vent her fear and hope for results. The problem is, she is doing something similar to what she fears, acting in a threatening way, directing anger at someone that could be an innocent victim, just like her child.
Zuben – I agree that the threat to KC from the crazies is quite real. I think I hang around some pretty normal people who really have much more important, real problems to be concerned with. They do not have the time nor energy to focus on KC and what is going on in her life, but there are obviously some people whos lives are so boring that they can dedicate their time to making sure that KC gets (what they think) she deserves.
We all have seen the psychologists analyze KC and her entire family. I would be interested in reading an a report obout these people who are so obsesses with Casey that they are consumed with hatred. What is missing in their life? If their focus was not on Casey would their hatred all be directed to someone else?

There is a report, however, of a secret witness that has a different take on what went done. This is being reported by Fox news in Orlando and Tampa. This witness says that it WAS self defense as he saw the man in the red top (Zimmerman) on his back on the ground being beaten by the other man in the hoodie (Martin).

That’s just crazy. I just think had they arrested Zimmerman at the beginning this wouldn’t have happened. They arrest people for a lot less than suspicion of murder everyday.
Also, What took this “new witness” so long to come forward? And if the media knew this person existed, why didn’t the media air this person’s interview sooner?

We had a situation that this reminds me of here in AR. It was in West Memphis. This young kid had a “play” gun and was out in a bad area in an apt complex. I believe (been a while now) he lived in the complex. But he was shot by police over the gun. The police were investigated and was justified. It quickly became a race issue. And YD, guess who showed up, yep JJ and AS. I think it is horrible, but when it becomes a full blown race issue, I just dont understand. I have read some things but not alot. I can imagine if someone saw what went on, how they could be fearful to come forward. Sad, but I can understand. I mean look at the mobs, now all around the country, scary. Sending prayers

JB and Mimi – What a freaking mess. I was doing some web surfing and ended up on a couple of blogs that just blew me away. They were very radical and racially charged and, to tell you the truth, very scary. I wish everybody would just step back and take a deep breath and wait to see what unfolds in the next few weeks with the grand jury. THAT is the way the process works, whether you like it or not.
Last night I read that the Sanford Police DID want to press charges and it was the State Attorney who held back. The theory is that once the prosecutor brings charges, if the accused (Zimmerman in this case) exercises his right to a speedy trial, then the SAO has 175 days to get all their ducks in a row and it goes to court. If the prosecution feels they can not get everything together in that amount of time, then they will hold off charging the accused until they are more certain of having a solid case. That may work, of course, unless some over-eager New (and improved?) Black Panther Party member gets to the accused first and puts some “street justice” on him first. JMO

JB…..I am so sad for the Saints and for NOLA. Not only are you absolutely correct about the players only hitting legally ( because, as you pointed out, it’s the refs’ jobs to call them out on illegal hits), but you are also right that the commissioner is in it for the money. Isn’t everyone who works a job in it for the money???? I kinda thought that was the point.
With that said, let me just say this: Think back to when Kurt Warner was the QB for the Rams. I don’t know how many of you may have watched the “greatest show on turf”, but if any of you did happen to watch a game, you know that every player in the league made Warner a target and he took hit after hit after hard hit. Undoubtedly, there was a bounty on Warner and others on that team.
Any of you ever listened to interviews from any of the oldies like Mean Joe Green, Ditka, Franko Harris, Dan Dierdorf??? If you have listened to any of them in old interviews (after they retired), you would have heard them say that they wanted to take out the other teams’ guys. They may not have admitted earning extra cash for it……but the bounty system was alive and well then.
This isn’t just the Saints who had the bounty system. The Saints are the ones who got caught and an example is being made of them.
Look…..I know that football is a rough and tough sport, and serious injuries unfortunately happen. I don’t think that anyone should be offered money to try to injure someone else because that injury could instantly end a career…..or even a life. But let’s be fair about it. If you’re gonna slap this penalty on the Saints, then you better get busy slapping it on every other team who has the system. Perhaps it would pay the commissioner to spend the next several months watching games from 2000 on to see the patterns that are very clear when it comes to other teams targeting a player on the opposing team and trying to take him out.

If Trayvon called 911 it isn’t very likely he was on the offense against this man that killed him. We call 911 for help. If it takes more than what he said in this 911 call for LE to understand that he was on the defensive, not offensive, then I sure hope the FBI can enhance the recording enough to hear what Zimmerman said and it clarifies things for them. Have they released that recording? I’d like to hear it.
Racism is alive and well, unfortunately. It’s better but it is still there. Our own government has helped to keep it alive by demanding quotas for minorities in companies that receive government funds, regardless of whether or not there is someone more qualified for the position. When my oldest was stationed in NC he said he had to be careful traveling back home with a black friend. There was a lot of hostility in the Southern states. This was in the 90s. Sad

I’m sorry I’m late responding to your comment. You are absolutely right, “Good Boy” should investigate at all of the teams, not just the Saints. That would be fair but when only one team is fined, it seems vindictive.
New Orleans is a resillient city. We’ll be fine. The same day this story broke “Free Sean Payton” Tshirts were flying off the shelves. As you could imagine we were shocked by the severity of punishment, especially KNOWING that this takes place on the field at every game, and more so during the playoffs.
I do remember poor Kurt Warner taking hit after hit. Our own Archie Manning, father of Peyton and Eli was pummeled and terrorized on the field, which no repercussions from the NFL not to mention, I’m sure there were bounties on Drew Brees too. It’s the nature of the game.
I can’t wait to see how this affects the defensive game…should be fun to watch or not, we’ll see.

I read a bunch last night and now its coming to light that he was suspended from school his parents said for being tardy, well now its said he was putting graffiti WTH or WTF on a school door I think it was, then they found some jewlery that he said wasnt his, and a “tool of crime” I think was a screwdriver (my eyes began to blur) anyways the school made a report.at school records. I think no one claimed the jewelery. AND he was suspended for 10 days he had a baggie that had pot reside and the school is zero tolerance. I truly think there is a lot more to this story than just cut and dry. Trayvon supposedly broke the zimmermans nose. I bet one thing for sure, they dont release all those records so fast like they did in the CA case!

After listening to a series of 911 recordings I don’t have any doubt Zimmerman pursued, beat and shot him. This was not self defense. You can hear the wind as Zimmerman goes after him, the 911 operator telling him not to pursue. You can hear this young man crying out for help over and over before the shot. A witness looks out the window and sees a man in a white t-shirt on top of him. It appears that his daddy the judge, has pulled strings for him in the past or LE there just won’t prosecute one of their own, which includes a judge’s family. He’s been arrested for domestic violence and arrested for 2 confrontations with LE, one of them he resisted. He also wanted to be a cop but didn’t make it for whatever reason. You’d think being the son of a judge he would have been welcomed with open arms but not him. That speaks volumes to me.

I tend to agree with you after listening to the tapes. Zimmerman says they were staring each other down. Then he says Martin was walking away.
It was clear that the LEO’s told him not to follow him. I also heard Zimmerman say, “these a-holes always get away”.
IMO, once Martin is walking away, Zimmerman is no longer in danger.
I’d like to know what exactly are the duties and guidelines for a Neighborhood Watch Captain. Was it a job requirement to chase the suspicious person? Are they required to carry a gun?
Also it seems to me, when the LEO’s are asking him his location, he skirts the issue because I believe he intended on capturing the so-called suspect and be the hero.

I agree we need to know more. I just realized that this happened Feb 27th. Honestly I hadn’t paid much attention until today. Theres mountains of info on the web about this.
I think it’s gotten way out of hand. It didn’t need to be a racial thing. A normal investigation without the secrecy may have pacified alot of ppl. I just think this case needs ot go to trial. If Zimmerman was attacked, they’ll show pictures of his injuries. We’ll know if it was him or Martin who was screaming for help and justice will be served or not but LE bring charges against ppl with a lot less than this.
But anytime in these cases when there seems to be a cover up, ppl get itchy and want to play the race card and that’s when the Al Sharptons come out of the woodwork.

If I understood things right, Trayvon was wearing a dark hoodie, grey but I haven’t heard what Zimmerman was wearing. If he was driving he may have only had on a white t-shirt. I doubt a dark hoodie would look white. Now, if he confronted Travon, first without the gun then they could have had a scuffle, Zimmerman getting a bloody nose and cut to his head. Trayvon appears to be a big guy. But the cries for help sounded like a young black male to me, not likely to be Zimmerman. I’m surprised to hear Baez say he would be acquitted as a self defense case, given the details. I wonder if he’s heard the 911 where he is obviously pursuing him and the operator tells him not to follow any further. It isn’t like the kid was in his yard or home threatening him. I’m content to wait until the Grand Jury meets on, I think, April 10 to decide whether charges will be filed against Zimmerman. I don’t think we know all the facts yet, and that may be a good thing given all the tension and grandstanding going on. The police are not required to lay all their cards on the table before then.
I just read that Zimmerman’s father was a retired Magistrate from Maryland. Not sure how that differs from a Judge. Also not sure how much influence he could exert here in Florida as far as his son’s previous brushes with the law.
From my reading, I do think that it was Zimmerman who was on the ground with Martin over him. Zimmerman was wearing a red shirt and Martin was wearing a grey hoodie. It was reported that when police arrived, Zimmerman was bleeding from his nose and the back of his head and the back of his shirt was wet and had grass stains.
Zuben – As far as the screaming heard on the 911 call, Trayvon’s own father said that it was NOT his son screaming. That kind of surprised me that he said that.
With what I have read, I am still on the fence but leaning towards the theory that it was self defense. We shall see what else comes out in the next couple of weeks.
I wonder what white t-shirt the caller saw. It really didn’t sound like a man his age and sounded more like a black man rather than white but I couldn’t hear super good and I haven’t heard either speak. I wonder if someone else that witnessed it was screaming. Yes, it really is too early to judge and the grand jury hopefully will have true evidence to decide from. I have to say though, that Zimmerman had no right to pursue and wasn’t on his property. That should call for manslaughter charges if not more. How can anyone claim defense if they were the one on the offense. I know they say the best defense is a good offense but this is going a little far, isn’t it?

As I have watched this unfold, there is one thing that bothers me. Up until the last few days, all the photos of Trayvon were taken when he was 12 or 13 years old. He was a very sweet, innocent looking kid. The more current photos of him are quite a contrast. Before I get lectured about how his appearance should not mean anything in this case, hear me out. That’s not what I am getting at.
When it was rumored that the reason Trayvon was in Sanford and not attending school in Miami, his family stated that he had been suspended for 5 days for tardiness. The family’s attorney then had Trayvon’s school records sealed which made me suspicious. Then it was learned it was a 10 day suspension. Now we learn of a total of 3 suspensions in the last few months.
The early photos we saw were of a small, slightly built Trayvon. I would imagine these are the photos his family provided the media. One of his parents said he weighed just 130 pounds, but the other parent said he was 6′ 3″ tall. In one of the more recent pictures, I can easily believe that he was that tall, but I seriously question his weight being that low. By the way, at one time many years ago I was 6′ 1″ and 130 pounds so I can use that for reference.
My neighbor actually drove to Sanford for one of the early “Justice for Trayvon” rallies to show her support. With the release of the new photos, the release of his vulgar Twitter feed and also some other things she has read she has done a complete 180 degree turn-around and now believes, like Jose (who she can’t stand), that it was self defense on the part of Zimmerman.
My point is this – why are we being presented with a false image of who and what Traynor was? Of course none of what I have mentioned means he should have been killed, but it is almost like the public is being fed a false picture of this young man so that it better fits into the scenario they want us to believe.
All of this reminds me too much of how the image of Casey Anthony was manipulated in the months leading up to the discovery of Caylee’s skeleton and then the years leading up to the trial.
Do I think Zimmerman should have handled the whole thing differently? I sure do, and I bet he sure wishes he did too. But I don’t think he is racist nor do I think he intended to harm Travon. Something happened which caused it all to spiral off into another direction and we ended up with a dead 17-year-old and a nation divided. I sincerely hope the truth comes out and that people on either side of the argument can accept it and move on. All JMO.

Zuben – I think Zimmerman could be charged with something, maybe manslaughter, but I hope it is based on evidence and not emotion. The feds are looking into possible “hate crime” charges but I don’t see that happening.
The neighborhood we used to live in had a neighborhood watch program, although I was not actively involved in it. IIRC, they first had to apply to the local police department showing interest in setting up the program. If the the police approved it, then everyone who was going to be a “watcher” was required to attend training sessions conducted by the police. Once that was done, small signs were installed at every entrance to the subdivision stating that is was protected by a Neighborhood Watch Program. Actually, the signs probably did more to deter crime than any of the volunteers ever did. JMO
OMG! I realized right away that the pic they were using of Travon was when he was younger but I thought the pic of the big guy with the beard was him too, currently. I hadn’t really looked too close, only enough to think that guy looks pretty tough, I wouldn’t want to mess with him. Now I understand that is Zimmerman, not Martin. He is Hispanic I assume. If I would have looked closer I would have realized that wasn’t the dead boy. Now, I was thinking maybe Zimmerman tried to make Miller wait for the police and they got into a scuffle, and it got out of control because Martin is so much bigger than Zimmerman but that isn’t the case at all. I’m surprised Zimmerman would even end up on his back. He must weigh at least 250 or more.
Ok there is a witness that says he clearly saw Zimmerman on the bottom and he was the well crying for help. Is this the witness that didn’t come forward until just recently? So the witness in the 911 calls called a grey hoodie a white t-shirt? Must be the hood wasn’t up and it looked white at night? I’ll reserve judgement until more facts are sorted through and obtained through discovery rather than media hype. I know witnesses can get things wrong but if someone just recently came forward I have to wonder why now. I am surprised to read that Zimmerman followed him on foot because the 911 had loud wind sounds at one point and he didn’t sound winded at all, talked normally. So the facts don’t quite add up to being facts in this article either, IMO.
I just thought to check wunderground for weather details that night. From 7-10 pm the wind was about 5 mph, not much at all. It dropped off to nothing then a short time, back to 5 mph about 11. Would a 5mph wind sound like that walking with his phone? I thought he began driving faster and the wind came through the window, which would be much louder. That would account for him not being out of breath at all. I’ll just wait for the real facts to come out.

Oh, I absolutely agree, Mimi. The media are much worse liars than Casey ever thought of being. They are looking for another cash cow like the Anthony case and if it isn’t there they’ll create it. I can see why there are accusations of this being racial and a hate crime though. That statement was pretty damning and from what I understand there is just as much bigotry between blacks and Hispanics are there is between black and white. But, the leaders need to step back. If he mentors black children he can’t really be a bigot. People can demand a full investigation but they shouldn’t be listing addresses or anything else that can get out of hand. Zuben – The only pictures I’ve seen of Zimmerman have been just his face. The first photo they were using was from, I guess, a mugshot booking because he has on an orange shirt. He has a couple of days growth of beard and looks pretty imposing and mean. There is a more recent picture now being used on some websites. I also read that he (Zimmerman) was about 6″ shorter than Martin, but I am not sure how true that is. With all this confusion about Trayvon’s height and weight, do you think they would release that info from the autopsy report? I guess an autopsy was done. Seems like a height/weight comparison might shed more light on who was the aggressor.

I think that now that I understand how the SAO, LE and the media seemed to work together to make KC into a demon before the case ever went to court I have become very aware of how this whole “game” works. The early pictures used of Zimmerman and Trayvon make it pretty obvious who the bad guy was. With the newest pictures, it’s not as obvious and it looks like it could have been either one. JMO
Also…the witness who came forward and stated that Martin was on the ground yelling for help did NOT just recently come forward. It’s only recent to the media because he came forward to the police right after it happened.

Tonight, ABC Nightly News had a video from a security camera of Zimmerman being taken into the police station the night of the murder. He is in handcuffs but they say there are no signs of any injuries. I did NOT see the video yet. This is just the report I read at OS. The injuries were reported in the police incident report, however.
Also, the elderly couple who were harassed and eventually moved out of their home after Spike Lee (and others) tweeted their address as being George Zimmerman’s have hired a law firm. Any guesses? Yup, Morgan & Morgan.

Also, I read that one of the officers (mind blurred from so many diff places) that had had an issue prev with a homeless man either being beaten or killed, a supposed racial act. With out being able to provide link its just something I read. In the big picture, IMO it does matter tho.
I just read the police incident report and in it Zimmerman is quoted as being overheard by officer while getting first aid by SFD “I was yelling for help someone to help me, but no one would help me”. Also while in close contact of GZ he observed that his back was wet and had grass on it as if he had been lying on his back. And was bleeding from his nose and back of his head.
I find this interesting: under the Offense Section is this: Homicide Neglig Mansl – Unnessary to prevent unlawful act . Statute 782.11 and I dont know what UCR is but under that is 090C.
This is the only report so far I have seen released.
Hmmm this make me wonder if this was GZ on the 911 call. IMHO I dont see how GZ could know that it would be on a 911 call at that time.

I am wondering, I read that the police took GZ clothes. In this video, tho grainy doesnt appear to be bloody. Would they take a piece of clothing from him as evidence at the scene? On the broken nose part…
I do now from experience, my oldest dtr got her nose broke playing fastpitch softball. She is olive complected and her nose bled but not as much as we thought should. She never got a black eye or swelling. We took her to ER they said wasnt broken, they didnt even xray. but feel under her eye to see if that bone that holds they eyeball in place was broke, which wasnt.. I was uncomfortable with that so next day took her to ENT doc and he said was broken this was Friday and Monday morning had surgery. Again after surgery I was amazed she still had no swelling or bruising. BUT, I agree there is alot of diff in a fight and a hard softball hitting 1 time dead on.

I haven’t posted since the KC trial ended. I hope everyone is well. I thought I’d stop by to see what the JBM folks are thinking about the Trayvon Martin case. You guys are such great snoops.
Just a few thoughts on the arrest video just released.
1) If Tray was on top of GZ as GZ claims, I’d kinda expect some blood from the gun shot.
2) Where is the blood on his shirt from a broken nose? It tough to break a nose without causing a gush of blood. And no apparent brusing of the face.
3) I wonder if the cops swabbed his hands for gun residue traces and Blood traces? Did they take pics of GZs claimed injuries?
4) Did they check for skin under TM or GZs finger nails for signs of a struggle?
You’d expect the SPD would say they have this evidence if indeed they subjected GZ to CSI forensics tests. They didn’t check GZ for drugs or alchol so ya gotta wonder if they did anything.
I assume the clothes GZ is wearing are the same one’s he had on at the scene. I wonder if they let him go home with those clothes. If so, goodbye forensics. Seems like horrific detective work.

So nice to see you again! You made 4 very valid observations. Did you by chance catch Mike Brooks on CNN? He did a very good analysis of GZ video when he arrived at the SPD garage.
First he noted that the LEO who was leading him out did not have any gloves on which is a LE policy if the suspect is bloody, so that says alot.
(btw, witnesses described the same shirt he was wearing) Mike Brooks says usually if person is hit in a nose during a fight, the adrenalin is pumping, the nose will bleed profusely.
Mike Brooks also said that if GZ had a head wound an EMT would normally bandage it just to keep pressure on the wound.
You made a really good point too, blood from the gunshot? Exactly. If TM was up against him struggling like he said, GZ’s shirt should be bloody too.
I hope SPD did some kind of forensic testing on GZ but like you mentioned, it’s always Florida. ??
btw, does anyone know if GZ followed him in a car or was he on foot?

IIRC, GZ was in his car while he made the 911 call, where they told him ‘you don’t need to follow the suspect’. After the call, he got out of his car and pursued on foot.

Trex – Good to see you again! That is a good point about whether there is any of Trayvon’s blood on Zimmerman since he was shot at close range. I will disagree, however, about the blood from a broken nose. Mine has been broken a number of times and the last 2 times there was no bleeding from inside the nose. The last time I also had a large gash on the outside bridge of my nose and that was the source of the blood. The swelling in my nose and around my eyes did not start to occur until about 12 hours after the incident.
Nice to see you Trex and good points. Ok, the video shows no sign of blood, which there should be, from the nose, head and on his clothing since he was supposedly struggling and shot him at close range. At one point the officer is looking and looking again at his head as if to corroborate something Zimmerman is saying. Maybe there is a small cut on his head and the medic cleaned it up. But woudn’t they treat a broken nose, not take him to the station? I doubt he had the injuries claimed. If he was without his coat during the struggle, his shirt could have looked white, it looks pretty light colored. A hooded sweatshirt doesn’t really look like a t-shirt as the witness called it. The police report doesn’t say whether the “sweater” is light or dark, only grey. A 911 caller described a white t-shirt on the man on top. I expect the autopsy details to determine more of what really went on. What is most disturbing to me is that Trayvon was found face down, hands under the body. If he were on top when shot then he would either fall sideways and land on his side or face up or be pushed off Zimmerman and his hands would not naturally fall under his body. At least one would be outward, the last one to reach the ground, even if he tried to catch his fall with the other. The same would be true if Zimmerman rolled out from under him. He would fall sideways as Zimmerman rolled out and away. If he was shot from the upright position then he might put his hands to the area shot, a natural reaction, then fall forward.
wbdo says Zimmerman is 5’9, 250lbs as I was guessing. I don’t see his weight on the police report, or Martin’s. The sentinel says Martin was 140lb but I’d say 150-160 sounds more accurate. He’d have to have ribs showing to be only 140. But that’s still about 100lb difference. Someone I know that is built like Zimmerman and about the same height is the same weight. As I understand it, the funeral home director has stated that there was no swelling or bruising of Trayvon’s knuckles and hands and that indicates, in his opinion, that he did not throw any punches. My question is, if Trayvon had actually thrown punches and was then shot, does the swelling and bruising that would normally occur still happen? I always thought that the swelling and bruising was caused by blood rushing to the injured parts, but if you are shot and the heart stops then there is no blood rushing anywhere. As you can tell, however, I am not that well versed in the field of medicine so I could be totally misinformed (once again).
Zuben – There is nothing an EMT or paramedic can do for a broken nose except get the bleeding on the inside of the nose to stop. I went to an ear, nose and throat specialist 4 days after I broke mine the last time. He didn’t want to see me until after the swelling went down. He confirmed it was broken and then asked me 2 questions. (1) Can you breathe alright through your nose? (2) Does the appearance of your nose now bother you? I told him I could still breathe alright through it and I don’t care how it looks. (It gets more crooked every time I break it.) He then just said to call him if I start to have breathing problems.

Great points. One thing seems clear — even if a scuffle did occur, it doesn’t sound like it was a dire, life threatening event. And yet GZ pulled a gun and shot TM to death. So regardless of who started it, it appears to be a disproportionate response. TM had no visible signs of being in a fist fight according to the mortician. The autopsy should be very interesting. And GZ’s minor injuries could just be a result of a fall from being pushed.
And that’s my guess about what happened. Tray felt threatened for being confronted by GZ and just pushed him down on the ground to get him out of his face.
BTW, the police report says TM was 160 lbs. And it is interesing how there are two writeups by different officiers in the police report. Some sentences are duplicated verbatim in both reports. Maybe that’s how cops do it — copy/paste from each other’s reports.

I would say even if there was no swelling in TMs hands (to prove a fist fight), there would at least be knuckle cuts or bruises (IMO). I concede your point about some broken noses don’t bleed. But if he had been hit hard (life threatening hard), he would at least have some bad bruises. GZ story just doesn’t add up.
With a hard blow you will see bruising start within just a few seconds so yes, if he hit him then was shot a minute later there would be bruising and even abrasions. I can’t see Zimmerman’s face well enough in the beginning of the tape to be sure but when he comes through the door and walks toward the camera, I am sure his mouth is closed. Could you breath through your nose when your nose was broken? I would think it would have to swell some and you would breath through your mouth. But, that really doesn’t prove anything unless he is lying. If he confronted Trayvon he may have hit him out of self defense to make him back off.
I just listened to Zimmerman’s 911 again and he is the one that said it was a dark hoodie and he said he had a button on his shirt. He may have been trying to make him sound threatening, telling the 911 operator that he looks like he’s on drugs, has his hand in his waistband, has something in his hand. That tea bottle must have looked very threatening. Or was it the skittles? I don’t know if it is true or not but I read that he has called the police 64 times. Could he be paranoid and aggrivated that the police never catch them, leading to the statement they are analyszing to determine if it was a racist or hate statement, ending in “they always get away”?

I’m a pretty good guesser, aren’t I? I’m sure the autopsy was finished a month ago and there has been no move to arrest him but I notice the police report description is unnecessary killing to prevent unlawful act. Hearing his voice again, it is rather soft, more like a youth so the voice I heard in the background of the other 911 call may have been him. We’ll see what other facts turn up.
Its not looking good for GZ. I have been watching the blogs and most insert race. I believe they will get to the truth at some point. My big concern again is the police. Have they covered anything up , did they play it down, did GZ dad have influence? Also, why did the legislature change the old rule of arrest first, and then ask questions later? I can’t wait to see the forensic reports of blood splatter, and why he was laying on his front. I have this erie feeling that there was no fight, that he just shot him.

How did ABC News get this video? It sounds as though it was an exclusive to them only. Who did they get it from? Was it released to specifically prove something and, if so, what?
Did Zimmerman’s side release it to show that he was handcuffed and taken to police headquarters after the incident, not realizing it also showed that there was not much visible damage to Zimmerman?
Incidentally, I down loaded the video, blew it up and went through some of it very slowly. In some of the frames I see a discoloration on the back of his head, but it is not really clear as to whether it is a shadow or something else. It is only visible for a short section as he walks behind the police car and starts to turn left. As a reference point, it is just as the top of his head appears to be right at the bottom of the tire of the motorcycle in the background.

The police reports that TM was shot in the chest. There would be little to no blood on GZ because of the simple fact that the entrace wound will be very small whereas the exit wound would be considerably larger and the ‘blow back’ would be away from the shooter! I’m pretty positive that when TM turned and approached GZ that GZ at that time did feel threatened. Usually, when an EMT cleans a bleeding head wound they would more than likely use a ‘liquid bandaid’ which is actually a clear dressing.

strikedlightning – You raise a good point about the entry/exit wounds. Also, my daughter (who is a trained EMT, as is her boyfriend) was just telling me about that “liquid bandaid” stuff last week. I think she said it was originally used in combat where wounds have to be closed fast. It is similar to something I used many years ago called NuSkin. I used to bowl a lot when younger. I nearly went pro but didn’t like traveling. I would frequently get a blister on my thumb which would then tear off exposing a patch of raw skin. The little kit you could buy had little cloth patches that you would cut to the size of your raw spot. Then you would brush on the NuSkin with the little brush like in fingernail polish. Put the patch on over that and then give it another coat or two of the NuSkin. It also had something in it that would numb the area. It was pretty amazing stuff, actually, and I can see how it could be very useful.

After reading these two articles, I’m shocked that no one has been arrested. This little town Jennings has a population of about 11,500 and all of the girls were said to have been involved in drugs and prostitution. My question, in this small town that number can’t be that high.

Oh, how funny, YD. Yep, I’ll bet you’re right. That reminds me of a converstation I had with a professor that taught dental hygiene, dentistry at our local community college. She said that nicotine keeps blood from coming to the gums or teeth, making healing difficult. I said, “Are you saying that niacin keeps blood from doing it’s job, comming to the mouth area?” She stammered a little bit and said nicotinic acid. I said, “Well, nicotinic acid is nicotine is niacin, vitamin B3″. She really stammered after that, not knowing what to say. She has more formal education than I do but I think she learned something that day. Apparently this inventor thought it would move the blood, stimulate circulation, which is a fact. It does. All the B vitamins convert carbs into energy. But I think today’s methods for reviving a potential drowning victim are probably more helpful and dependable. Nicotine wouldn’t expel water from the lungs, I don’t think. Of course, the shock of a stranger putting something up their behind might shock them into couphing it up.

I am finally back up and running. Way too much to try to catch up completely. I have a few more questions:
I read back over all of the information about the garbage bag (yes, just one) I even read Simon Birch”s depo again. He insists the bag had yellow handles, but the one that was collected had blue handles. Then it mysteriously disappears from the box when Dr. ? and Baez come to inspect it. Could that other one have been the correct one and they didn’t get it? Or was it all more lies?

Hi DisneyDi. Yes, only one. and they didn’t handle it properly at all, IMO. They laid it all out to dry without taking samples for analysis then months later went back to it to collect insect evidence. I think they didn’t want to collect them then because they knew it would prove the bugs weren’t feasting on Caylee and the smell came from there too. It didn’t fit their story line. I’m sure they had the right garbage because it had receipts that linked to TL’s apartment.

The good thing about those jurors they were sequestered too.
I always thought that thy got it right.
Bailey said those that watched the complete trial couldn’t find him guilty.
If you listened to the news or talk shows, it wasn’t even close to the real trial.
There were several that I wondered about that were never questioned or looked into and also if it helped the defense, several things were left out.

The other Anthony’s don’t look anything like that. If Casey had fake ID’s why wouldn’t mom? Do you recall in all of her depositions, they asked her over and over again if she was on any other medications? I am actually surprised that I couldn’t find this mentioned on any other blogs anywhere.

Hi all. I see you’re doing great with the word game. I bowed out to do other things. Deviledadvocate, here’s one for you, to follow Friday the 13th. Maybe you already knew this but my government teacher omitted this little tidbit. We have come to think of the abolition of slavery as the 13th article of amendment to our constitution but apparently that wasn’t it’s original number. It should be the 14th amendment because the real 13th article reads,
How many politicians or other citizens are receiving gifts from foreign powers? The story of this amendment is the strangest thing, uncovered by a researcher named Suzanne Nevling. It was ratified by the necessary 13 states, Virginia being the 13th, in 1810. But later, NY, one of 3 that rejected it, started publishing that it had never been ratified and adopted. You might recognize part of the wording, since it is the same as Article I of our constitution. But there was no penalty there so this amendment was added. As the last of the original founding fathers passed away, some manipulation and oversight led to this amendment being ignored and deleted, although not repealed. As late as 1864 when the bill outlawing slavery was drafted and passed, various states were still publishing the correct 13th amendment, listing the slavery amendment as the 14th. Of course, the deciding state, Virginia, along with some others, had seceded so they weren’t paying attention to what was going on with their now rejected mother constitution. Maybe the attempt for another to be put in its place contributed too, the Corwin amendment that would have protected rights to own slaves. It makes me wonder if someone was getting slaves as a gift from some foreign power. No one spoke up to correct the amendment number, although for years it was still being published as the 13th amendment. My point is, it appears that the slavery amendment isn’t the 13th. During all the commotion with the slavery issue and the civil war it somehow got left out. I don’t think it is simply the title of nobility they wanted to avoid. That is already contained earlier in the constitution. What they wanted to avoid is payoffs, bribes and split loyalty. The law is empty without a penalty so amendment 13 was drafted and ratified to impose penalty. The link I left has links to original document images.

Thank you for that very interesting link. It is rather ironic that the original 13th amendment has such an odd history, considering the somewhat popular belief that 13 is an unlucky number.
That era of American history when the original 13th amendment was drafted, was filled with turmoil. It isn’t surprising that it was drafted, for the reasons you mentioned in your 10PM post. Those same problems still exist today. Payoffs, bribes etc., involve money, and when money is involved, people get greedy. Politicians, customs authorities, liasons to foreign countries, the list goes on and on as to who is in a position where gifts could sway ones decisions.
A couple of points of interest from the link. Florida (along with a number of other states) seceded from the union in Jan of 1861 (what I want to know is who let Florida back in LOL, or more to the point, does Florida even realize it is part of the US, LOL. Just kidding.
The link also mentions The Battle Of New Orleans, but I have a question for JB.
On Jan 8, 1815 when The Battle Of New Orleans ended with the British retreating to their ships, was it the Saints who sent them packing? or was it the Patriots? LOL Sorry, slipping a little football talk in there, and that happened before football existed.

Just read that Levon Helm (the drummer for the band “The Band”) is in the final stages of cancer and probably won’t last long. I did not know that he was from Arkansas, but I liked him just the same. Just kidding, Mimi.
Also sad to hear that Dick Clark has died. I had not watched him in many years as I prefered to remember himas he was when I used to watch American Bandstand. My father met him once when he was a DJ for a radio station near the town where I grew up. I did not know until just now that he (along with Alan Freed) was brought before a US Senate subcommittee that was investigating the “payola” scandal within the music industry. From what I just read it sounds like he was into some pretty questionable business practices, but the subcommittee could not find that he had done anything illegal.
JB – Speaking of music, have you ever had the chance to hear Sonny Landreth play? I know he plays a lot in New Orleans. In fact, I just looked and he has a couple of concerts there the first week of May. His music is sort of cajun with a lot of great slide guitar work. Honestly I don’t know what ramification this has had on me. I do remember being turned down for an apt I applied for in Texas right after Katrina in 2005. I know they did a credit check.. maybe they thought I was a fraud when they saw my name was stamped “deceased”?? I read about some other cases like this and they said it took a year or two to get it all straight.

In a nutshell, this women fired a gun into the ceiling during a domestic dispute with her abusive husband. No one was killed. No one was even hurt, yet she is facing up to 20 years in prison after being found guilty of three charges of aggravated assault. A judge had denied her immunity in the SYG hearing meaning, I guess, that it doesn’t apply in this case. It is really a weird case and I am surprised that the 20 year jail term is MANDATORY.

YD I saw a story on that same story, I think it was on HLN yesterday, The lady had a 9 day old infant I think. Her sister was on the show. There was an attny chick on there I dont know if proc or def, she gave her thought that the reason that the SYG didnt apply was after the Mother left the bathroom and got the gun and was in the kitchen when the shot was fired to ceiling, that the Mother had the chance to leave the situation after leaving the bathroom. With either case, again hindsight is 20/20. When in the moment, things are alot diff, and the adreniline is going and sometimes things happen before you can think and rationalize the situation. JMO of course

The stupidity of people never ceases to amaze me. “Neighbor A” sometimes lets their dogs out and they may have pooped in “Neighbor B”‘s front yard. Neighbor B knows there is a dog poop there but does nothing about it until one of her kids steps in it. Then she does what any grown adult would do – goes on FaceBook and whines about it instead of saying something to Neighbor A about it. Unfortunately, Neighbor A is on her “Friend List” as well as Neighbors C, D, E, F, etc. So now we have a neighborhood civil war going on.
Actually, I and others were on the side of the woman whose yard got pooped upon until she took to FaceBook. Now most neighbors are down on her for being such a jerk about it. I love living in the suburbs. It’s a thrill a minute.

I can almost relate to that too. Do you think it would have been better for Neighbor B to have complained to Neighbor A personally the 1st time she saw doggy poop in her yard.
I have a dog, a big dog. I have a yard but it’s not fenced. My neighbor has a dashound who runs the neighborhood. My dog poops in my yard, now the little dog does it too. lol
It’s a land mine out there.
I know my yard is full of poop and I’d never allow any child to play in my yard or not warn any adult.. I avoid it as much as possible myself.
It sounds to me like its a communication problem. If A informs B as to what happened, ( in a nice way or even jokingly manner)
I’m sure B would have been very apologetic and assured her that her dog wouldn’t go into A’s yard again. Why does it have to go to Facebook? That seems cowardly to me.

When it came on the local news I was almost afraid to watch.
Here on the homefront the feud seems to have died down some. The neighbor with the dogs in question (the poopors) got on FaceBook and replied to the other woman (the poopee) that she has been very careful to keep her dogs out of that woman’s yard because she (the poopee) and her husband are so lazy and have let their yard get so nasty that the dogs get covered in sandspurs if they go over there. So I guess we will have to see what the response will be to THAT comment. Stay tuned.

Last week I was reading an interesting article online from “Scientific American” magazine about the relationship between stomach ailments and drinking alcohol (like beer and wine). I enjoyed the writer’s (Rob Dunn) style so I looked up his books and found that my local library had both of them. I have finished the first book, “Every Living Thing: Man’s Obsessive Quest to Catalog Life, from Nanobacteria to New Monkeys”, and found it very informative. I will admit that quite a bit of it was WAAAY over my head since I don’t have a strong knowledge of microbiology.
My daughter (who just finished a class in microbiology) is currently reading his other book, “The Wild Life of Our Bodies: Predators, Parasites, and Partners That Shape Who We Are Today.”

I have been researching bacteria and other parasites due to being called on and challenged to do some medical astrology work for a client that is in crisis. Of course, I am reminded that Jesus is said to have turned water into wine and a letter instructed one of the disciples not to forget to drink some wine for his stomach. My grandpa was very judgmental of people that drank but he had a bottle of whiskey hidden in the cupboard for his heart. He took the modern Hippocratic oath, I think.
Anyway, through my research I ran into some articles about studies that showed many diseases, including cancers are caused by bacteria, fungi and other ‘demons’, some of which are naturally occurring and beneficial, even necessary for human life. They become the enemy when something happens to disrupt the peaceful coexistence. Candida is a good example, running rampant following a course of antibiotics. Before they treated ulcers like it was a mental problem that led to an inflamed stomach. But they now know that it is a bacteria that is naturally occurring but got out of control. I am convinced all cancers are the result of bacteria, virus or fungus. Which makes me ask why they don’t cure them all. The only conclusion I can come to is it isn’t as lucrative.
On the subject of medicine and health, My doctor wanted to put me on 3 blood pressure meds after a couple of slightly high readings, maybe 145 or 157 over 80 or 85. Now, I refused, told her I need more exercise would monitor and take some herbs. I gave her my readings collected under various circumstances and quite often the readings were below their so called ideal. So she agreed to back off on the meds. Now, an article I read cited many studies involving thousands of people that showed that people that lived the longest and had the least heart problems, especially fatal ones, were those with the higher blood pressure, so called bad cholesterol and triglycerides. Apparently the fat protects the heart from stress. Now, he also reminded me that they used to consider the blood pressure normal if the top number didn’t exceed 100+ the age of the person with the bottom number being 90 or less. I always fall within that range unless I have my heart pumping from exercise. So, I have a hard time trusting popular modern medical wisdom unless I’ve researched for myself, adding a bit of common sense. I’ve said for a long time that butter is better for us than margarine. Now I know I’m right.
